The Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) is a widely used tool for assessing suicide risk through a series of structured questions that evaluate suicidal ideation and behavior.
This workshop will review the development of the C-SSRS and its administration. Participants will learn about how to administer the full and screening versions of the tool, how to customize the tool and how to interpret results. Population-specific editions will also be reviewed (very young children, military, etc.). Training will include didactic, video demonstration and role play training techniques.
This training is being by Adam M. Lesser, LCSW, Assistant Professor, Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Columbia University Vagelos College of Medicine and Deputy Director for Training and Implementation, The Columbia Lighthouse Project Columbia University Medical Center/New York State Psychiatric Institute.
