Fairbanks Community Mental Health Services (FCMHS) opened in September of 2013. The company provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare services to the Fairbanks Region. We served about 700 consumers in FY15.
Services and Supports
The services provided by FCMHS are designed to assist consumers in obtaining and maintaining community tenure.
For adults, this means obtaining safe, affordable, accommodating housing and the resources and skills necessary to maintain housing. It means adults who have the opportunity to be engaged in meaningful activities such as volunteering or working.
For children, this means living in the community in a safe home and attending school.
Family Services for Youth and their Families
Family Services at FCMHS provides a wide range of therapeutic services to severely emotionally disturbed (SED) children, adolescents, and their families. The scope of services provide a comprehensive array of community based mental health services designed to enable children and adolescents to live successively in their community.

Services for Severely Mentally Ill Adults
Several specialized teams within (FCMHS) provide services to adults who experience severe mental illness (SMI) or co-existing disabilities such mental illness and substance use disorders, developmental or physical disabilities and other disorders. Services include comprehensive community based mental health services, substance abuse services, housing services, housing assistance. All services are designed to assist consumers in their goals of recovery.
