Student opportunities at ACMHS vary from semester to semester. Practicum placements for bachelor students, master’s students and Ph.D. students are available in a variety of our treatment programs. Students of social work, psychology and nursing are currently accepted. Your university or college must be accredited by a regional accrediting body for post-secondary education endorsed by Council for Higher Education Accreditation, and your degree program/department must have a Memorandum of Agreement on file with ACMHS.
Currently, ACMHS is only accepting internship candidates enrolled in the University of Alaska or Alaska Pacific University. There are no exceptions- ACMHS only has agreements with these universities at this time.
No students are accepted unless actively enrolled in practicum credit at their university or college. For questions call 563-1000 and ask for Dr. Carey Edney.
